Nice work guys… Highly entertaining (as well as informative) — which is much more than I can say about some other Podcasts that I come across.

I’m looking forward to what you guys have to say. I am not a rockstar or a minister, so I would have to say that my background puts me somewhere in the middle.

I attend Mars Hill, and Rob’s teachings have changed everything for me. I grew up in church and always felt that some things just weren’t quite right. Over the past year I have had some sort of awakening. I can’t quite explain it but I don’t believe I am the same person I was a year ago. It is a whole new journey summarized by one word “hope”.

    Possible show discussion:
Injustice in the world. As followers of Christ aren’t we called to fight injustice? For example I heard this report on NPR yesterday.
    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5043032
Unbelievable. It made me angry. It seems that in order to have compassion as Christ does we should be aware of the injustice in our world.

    Good luck with Theohacks.

    Ryan

    Tim and Ryan,

Thanks for the comments. Ryan, that’s a great topic and we’ll definitely consider it. Keep letting us know if how we can make the podcast better.

Oops, I didn’t notice you had a comments field here and I already commented on Finding Rhythm, so I’ll just say “good job and keep them coming.”

    Where you sent my thoughts:

    1) I love the thought that our world is not full of us vs. them, it is full of us; sinners, all of whom have good in them. The ugliness that rotts in us all ought to draw us closer in compassion to all instead of reeling away in disgust and judgement at some.
    2) John, Im also thankful for your pursuit of honesty and encouragement; to me you are a model of that.
    3) Zach, Ive never heard you say how you are trying and growing to be honest in your questioning of religion, and honorable with your critcisms. I loved hearing that.

did someone start a blender in the background at about 4 and a half minutes?

That would be the fan on Zach’s Powerbook. :)

    i dig it fellas.
maybe a topic you guys can hit (especially with Christmas coming up) is the effect of your respective careers on family…

I noticed that Satan turned on the fan on the powerbook just after Zach said my name. I’m wondering that was some sort of an incantation or something.
